Help Needed With the Holy Relics
As the days approach when the Holy Relics visit our city, we are experiencing a shortage of Knights to carry the relics. There is a need for any Knights that can help (not just the Fourth Degree), especially at St. Bernadette. St. Bernadette is scheduled for the May 27 at 8:30 am. Since this is the beginning of the work day, several of the Knights committed to carry the relics will be working. The task is not all that difficult: simply carry the relics in the initial procession, take a seat in the front pew, hold the assigned relic up when its turn in the program comes, take a seat again in the front pew, and finally, wipe down the relics once personal veneration is completed. The service should be finished by 10:30 am.
Please consider helping another parish out. If you cannot make the St. Bernadette service, check out the Holy Relics ad in the Denver Catholic to see if any other service might fit into your schedule. I know that at our service on the 24th, we will most likely have a plethora of Knights.
